Internet Marketing is an
effective means in which to reach four primary ad campaign
objectives:
Branding - Helps a company gain awareness

excels at compiling lists of consumers who are legitimately
interested in your products or services. Executing
sales - Just as online advertising can identify and gather
leads, online advertising can move a customer into actually making
purchases while online. Building traffic - Online
advertising can be used to direct users to a specific location on
the web or to your counter.
Internet advertising can
best be described as the convergence of traditional advertising and
direct response marketing at a fraction of the cost of traditional
media.
According to InterActive Consumers, published by
Find/SVP, Internet usage is now competing with prime time
television, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. It reports that Internet and online
usage is beginning to cut into prime time TV viewership among the 10
percent of U.S. households that have access to the Internet and
online services. With 50 million households expected to be online by
the year 2000, the Internet will become an important medium used by
advertisers to reach consumers.
